Hi! :D
I did makeup on my buddy Jordan today, she was feeling colourful so I did a look using Sugarpill. I did contouring and stuff too, it was a practice session. Look how pretty!
I don't have a before shot, but I'll try to get one another time. I used liquid liner on her, normally I use gel liner on other people because it's easier to control. I think I'll stick with the gel liner for now, although I do want to become more proficient with liquid liner too. Doing it on myself is a lot easier, but then again all makeup application is easier on yourself! I think I'm doing more makeup tomorrow for someone and again Sunday for Jordan. She's going to a ball so she has to get fancy. I want to do something super sophisticated, I'll have to have a think. I'll look into some celebrity looks, red carpet stuff.
I have a film shoot coming up too that I have to prepare for. It's sci-fi so I have to come up with some pretty out there stuff. I have ideas though and I picked up some bits today to mess with. I also have an assignment that will be put off until last minute. I'm so busy lately! I quite badly need to find time to do my nails. Anyway, here's a product list for this look, see you soon!

Sugarpill Green & Purple
I suddenly got colourful today. I got a sweet new Totoro t-shirt and it's green and purple, so I did some makeup to sort of coordinate with it. Ta-dah!
My eyebrows D: Eyebrow maintenance is the biggest pain. Purple brows might be cool with this look actually. I think coloured brows look odd on me though so it doesn't often occur to me to try it. Ooh, I got the Sigma Precision Eye Kit this week and it is so badass. The brushes are amazing, especially the crease brush and the blending brush. I'll review it at some point but I want to use them more first. So far I love them anyway! Here's another photo and a product list.

Nail Art #3 - Striped Ombre Dotticure
Hey! I spent all weekend chilling out and not wearing makeup, but while I chilled I watched some nail art videos on Youtube. Today I did a manicure that I saw on PackAPunchPolish's channel, I thought it was really cool and I had to try it out. It's pretty messy because I've only used dotting tools once and I'd never used striping tape before. I like how it came out anyway! I didn't have a creme white polish so I used a pearl white instead but I think it looks alright. Here are some photos and a product list.

This Week's Nails #15 - Oh My Glitter!
Hey! Today was a chill out day, so I don't have a makeup look to post. I did my nails instead! The shade is 'Oh My Glitter' by Essence, it's a pretty mid-purple with pink shimmer. I used three coats for this manicure. I think this polish is gorgeous, I hadn't worn it before today but I've had it for a while. It's easily one of my favourite purples now!

Urban Decay Vice Palette Look #2
Hey! After using my Vice palette on Keelin Friday night, I remembered how awesome it is and vowed to use it more. There are some crazy awesome colours in there! I did a look with it today and I think it came out great! Take a look:
I didn't have much time today so this was a pretty quick look. I hope you guys like it! Do any of you have this palette? I don't see it used that much by many bbloggers, do you? I feel like if I saw other people using it more it would remind me to use it. My go-to palette is normally Naked 2, so Vice gets a little neglected. I really love this palette though, I need to use it a lot more. Here are some more photos and a product list! See you soon >_^

Another Face #2 - Keelin
Tonight my friend Keelin called over and I did her makeup before she went out! She was going to a gig so I did colourful, dramatic party makeup with glitter.
Both of those photos are unedited, just cropped. I think I did ok! I don't get to work on other people as often as I'd like so it's kind of hard to tell how I'm doing, but I like how the makeup came out. Still, I feel more confident working on people than I used to. Hopefully I'll get to work on Keelin some more in the future >_^ Do some different kind of looks and stuff. Let me know in the comments what you think of this look! I know it's pretty crazy but it's night out makeup, and glitter is so much fun! Here are some more photos and a product list, see you soon!

GOSH Eye Shadow Palette look and swatches
Hey! I picked up this GOSH palette on sale in a pharmacy just after Christmas. It was reduced to €14.99 from €28, and there are 22 shades in it. I'd never tried GOSH cosmetics before and I hadn't heard anything about them. I looked them up online briefly and learned that they're a Danish company. I picked the palette up since for the price and with this number of shades, I can get a good idea of what their shadow range is like! I don't see a whole lot of GOSH stands around here, I think I know of two. Like any other cosmetics enthusiast, I was curious and wanted to try them out. Here's what the palette looks like:
I like the packaging! The outer box looks great, it caught my eye in the store. Palette itself is matte black and quite small, it measures six inches across and four down. It's a pretty portable size and contains a decent sized mirror, definitely good for taking on trips.
Swatches, over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
These colours are beautiful. The shadows are soft and just the right amount of crumbly when you swirl your brush in them. Some seem better pigmented than others, though. The shimmer ones seem to have the best colour payoff. Some of the paler shades and mattes are just a little lacking in strength, but not to an off-putting degree. I did a look using mainly the pink and purple shades. Check it out!
These colours are really soft and pretty. With nude pencil on the waterline and maybe less dramatic liner, I think this would make a nice bridal look! I was wearing this as an evening look though so I added the black instead.
These shadows are very nice to work with. They blend extremely well, I was really impressed with that. I can really suck at blending pretty often, so it's always nice with a product makes that easier on me. This isn't a proper review since there are so many shades, I'm not sure I can get a fair idea of them all without wearing more of them. I'll most likely do another look too and then say whether or not I'd recommend it. So far it's looking quite good though, and I feel like I'll be even more impressed by the other shadows. Here are a few more pictures and product list. Sorry for the monster post! <3

Nail Art #1 - Galaxy Nails
Hey guys, today I did some nail art! I don't have much experience with nail art and I'd like to try a lot of the cool stuff I see online. I've tried using dotting tools and I've used stickers before but that's about it really! One I've been wanting to try for a long time is a galaxy nail manicure, I'm sure most people have seen this one before. It's a very awesome and popular manicure, and very easy too! These are the polishes I used:
All polishes are Essence apart from the glitter polish which is from Revlon. Here's a rundown:
The basic idea is that you sponge colours over a black base, and work some glitter in to represent stars and planets. I used a cut up kitchen sponge because I had no cosmetic sponges, and I think it worked just as well. Revlon's Stunning is the perfect glitter for this manicure because of the different sized particles. They make for great stars in your miniature fingernail galaxies! I did a fair bit of searching for a polish exactly like this for this manicure, I was so happy when I came across Stunning. Another good glitter for this I've seen used by others is NYC's Starry Silver Glitter.
I really like how my nails came out! I'd like to do it again and try different colour combinations. I took a few pictures in a few different lighting conditions. It's hard to capture how cool this manicure looks in real life!
I will most definitely be dabbling more in nail art, I had a lot of fun with this. I'd like to do some gradient manicures too, the ones I see on other blogs look beautiful! We'll see what's to come ^_^

All polishes are Essence apart from the glitter polish which is from Revlon. Here's a rundown:
- Galactic Black - Black with subtle silver shimmer.
- White Tip Painter - This is the only white I own and I've never even done a French manicure. I will though, I promise!
- Sleepy from the Snow White collection - A pale greenish blue with blue pearl.
- Let's Get Lost - My favourite bright blue and the reason I started using base coats, it stains so bad!
- Ultimate Pink - The name says it all.
- Break Through - Lovely plum shade.
- Passion for Fashion - Violet.
- Revlon's Stunning - Clear based polish with silver glitter reflecting multicoloured, irregular sized circular and hex glitter.

This Week's Nails #9 - Icy Lilacs
There are a lot of neutrals and darker colours trending right now for autumn. I don't feel like wearing those, here's some lilac instead.
This is my first Isa Dora polish. I've used some of their shadow quads before, but haven't used any more of their products although the quads were really good. Its RRP is €7.50 but I got it on sale for half price. It's called 'Icy Lilacs'. I used three coats of polish, it was still a little sheer after two. It's a pale lilac with turquoise shimmer, I really love these colours together. The brush is good and wide, making application easy. Very nice polish, I got a great bargain! I'll leave you with a closeup:

Review with Look - Soap & Glory Lid Stuff - 'Off the Wallflowers'
Hello!
I'm really excited about this post, because I've wanted this eyeshadow palette for a long time! I read a glowing review on it somewhere online, but I can't remember where. It's a Lid Stuff quad palette from Soap & Glory, the one I chose is 'Off the Wallfowers'. I picked it up for €14.50 in Boots. There are two more Lid Stuff colour choices available too, 'What's Nude' and 'Smokey Dokey'. At the moment I feel like I have enough nude shades with my Naked 2 and Sleek 'Au Natural' palettes, and I love a bit of colour so I chose 'Off the Wallflowers'. Here it is in all its (Soap &) Glory!
One of the things I really love about it is that there is no sponge applicator! I hate those crappy useless things! There is a short statement about this on the back of the packaging - 'We chose not to include a cheap spongy shadow brush, because not only would it drive the price of this palette up, we thought you'd rather opt for a proper one' Good work, Soap & Glory. Can any of you remember the last time you actually used one of them? What a waste they are!
On to the swatches.
'Sugar Violet' is a beautiful matte violet shade, it's actually quite bright! 'Dandy Plum' is a deep, red brown toned plum with a shimmer finish. 'Minky' is so pretty, pale gold shimmer with subtle pink undertones, while 'Wild Blue' is a bold blue shimmer.
Here's the look I created with this palette!
I used 'Minky' all over the lid, applied 'Dandy Plum' in the crease and blended 'Sugar Violet' above it. I placed Wild Blue all along the lower lash line.
The quality of these shadows is so good. They're soft, very pigmented and they're lovely to work with. I love this palette! I'm so glad I finally got it and that it didn't disappoint. I can see myself using it a lot. There's a great mix of colours to make a bunch of different looks with. I'm really looking forward to using it more and I might even pick up another one. I hope they'll come out with a wider range of eyeshadows, as far as I know the Lid Stuff palettes are the only shadows they do. I'd definitely like to see more colour combinations from them.
This is the second Soap & Glory product I've used. For my birthday my Mom got me one of their lipsticks, a Super-Colour Fabulipstick in 'The Missing Pink' which is a medium pink shade. It's a great lipstick, it's really moisturising and I use it quite often! I also have their Kick Ass Concealer but I haven't used it yet. I have a Maybelline Cover Stick on the go and I'd like to get through a bit more of that first. I have my eye on a few more of their products too, hopefully I'll get my hands on them in the future.
I'll sign off with more pictures of the look. Enjoy!

This Week's Nails #2 - Vivid Violet
Hello there! ~_^
This week I'm wearing No7's Stay Perfect polish in Vivid Violet. It's a beautiful colour, one of the best purples I own! I'm not sure what the exact price was, since it was a birthday gift from my little brother (he's such a sweetie!). On the Boots UK site the price is £5.50, which is about €7. If it's much different here in Ireland I'll be sure to let you know!
This week I sucked especially hard at application. Deeply sorry, but sometimes I just have an off day! Any mess or bumps are completely my own fault, not that of the polish.
I applied it Sunday night, photographed on Monday evening, and it truly has 'stayed perfect' so far up until today (Wednesday). It still looks exactly as it did the day I applied it. The brush is nice and thick, too. Not as thick as the Essence brush in the polish from last week so it doesn't give quite as much coverage in one stroke, but it's not far off!
This No7 polish is a really nice break from the norm for me. I mostly own Essence ones since I'm often quite broke and they're the best quality low cost polish that I've found. I think I'll try a wider variety of brands from now on!

Sugarpill Black and Purple Smokey Eye - Look with Tutorial
Hello! Sorry that I've been away for so long. I didn't have a camera for weeks. I was using a borrowed camera to take photos with, but the owner needed it. Luckily my family was awesome enough to get me a Canon EOS1100D for my birthday so I'm sorted now! I'm still terrible at photography but I'm working on it.
So my friend and Starcraft 2 team mate Michelle (MsCupcake) asked me to do a purple and black look for her. She said that when she tries it looks like someone punched her in the eye. Here's a tutorial to see if we can avoid that in future! :D
Product list can be found below the tutorial.
Step 1
Prime the eye. I used Essence's 'I Love Stage' primer, followed by NYX white eyeshadow base. Don't forget to prime below the eye too, since shadow will be applied here.
Step 2
Apply purple shadow all over the lid. I used Sugarpill's '2am'
Step 3
Apply black shadow to the outer V and crease. I used Sugarpill's 'Bulletproof'
Step 4
Blend the black up and out. Keep blending until the lines are gone and you get a smokey effect. Also blend it into the purple on the lid.
Step 5
Blend a little pink above the black. I used Sugarpill's 'Dollipop'.
Step 6
Apply white shadow to the brow bone and blend it with the pink. I used Sugarpill's 'Tako'. Also apply white to the inner corner of the eye. Then apply pink or purple liner to the lower lash line. Set this with purple shadow, and put some black shadow on the outer part of the lower lid. Blend these colours together.
Step 7
Line the waterline and upper lash line with black.
Step 8
Finish the look by curling the lashes and applying mascara, I used Maybelline Falsies. Also fill in your brows, it gives the eye area more definition. I used Essence's Eyebrow Designer pencil and a dark brown shadow to do this.
I hope you found this tutorial helpful! If anyone has a look request, post a comment below and I will try to come up with a tutorial for you. The same goes if you have any questions about this look. Thanks for reading!
